It is prescribed by a doctor and should be taken on an empty stomach, at the same time each day. Common side effects include tiredness, weakness, irregular heartbeat, numbness, breathlessness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It is not recommended for individuals with asthma, heart conditions, kidney or liver problems, or COPD. Alcohol may affect its effectiveness, and it is not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
