It is best taken before bedtime to avoid drowsiness. Common side effects include increased heart rate, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty urination, constipation, and dizziness. Serious side effects are rare. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking this medication. It is not known to be addictive, but withdrawal symptoms may occur if stopped suddenly. Overdose of Nortrip may lead to serious health issues.
