Ferrored-XT Syrup is an iron replacement medicine used to treat iron deficiency anemia, where red blood cells are too few due to insufficient iron. It is given by slow infusion into a vein and is accompanied by a well-balanced diet with iron-rich sources like pulses, green leafy vegetables, beans, eggs, dry fruits, and non-vegetarian foods. Common side effects include altered taste, hypertension, nausea, and injection site reactions. It is not recommended for those with rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, or liver problems. It is not safe for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Tests will check blood cells and iron levels, and it may be advisable to limit alcohol during treatment.
